Amazon Hiring Event in Jefferson
2018
Amazon’s newest fulfillment center in Jefferson is now hiring more than 1,200 part-time positions.
The company will host hiring events in Jefferson between October 1 and October 20, and these events will include application assistance, follow-up appointments, and on-site hiring for candidates who meet all of the qualifications.
Applicants much be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent experience. Anyone who meets these qualifications needs to apply online first in order to select shift preference and which hiring event to come to, but the company stresses that walk-ins are welcome.
Amazon associates will work 20-29 hours per week and are eligible to receive healthcare benefits, vacation time, an employee discount and life insurance after working for the company for 30 days. The company also offers a program called Career Choice through which they schedule flexible hours for employees who are in school, and the company may pay up to 95 percent of tuition for courses for in-demand fields.
